The old school burnt to the ground in 2003 and CSA became the new reality in 2010. For fleets and drivers who didn’t heed the warning two years ago and for those who continue to ignore it, there’s a long road to compliance. Change doesn’t happen overnight.
Hammell Transport took the initiative five years ago to have a compliant fleet. Using Rair Technologies to scan driver logs for critical violations, form and manner violations, fueling events and Qualcomm GPS positioning we were able to see a very real picture of our driver performance. Through a combination of education and awards we were able to achieve an excellent level of compliance long before CSA came online.
We reap the benefits of the steps we took, and continue to use, five years ago; safe, conscientious drivers, favorable insurance rates and no fear of CSA intervention.
